Implants & Crowns
Whitening

The procedure of securing a white composite material (shaded to match the color of the tooth) directly to the enamel or dentin. The bonding materials are extremely strong and can be polished to a very high gloss resembling enamel. They are not baked or glazed like porcelain, so they may stain eventually.

An implant is a cylindrical post placed in the bone of the upper or lower jaw on which a crown or bridge may be attached. The initial placement of the implant itself is usually done by an Oral Surgeon or a Periodontist. The final restoration of a post and crown is completed by the General Dentist.

A crown is a full coverage restoration (often called a cap) which protects the tooth and restores it after a root canal or structural loss due to trauma or decay.

The changing of your present tooth color by the use of a special bleaching gel which is placed in a mouthguard (which fits only your teeth) and worn over 7 - 10 days.

A thin piece of porcelain shaped like the facial or front part of your tooth. Used predominately in the anterior (front) of the mouth. They are bonded to the natural tooth to change the shade and often shape. Created in a dental lab, these restorations are baked in a high temperature oven and glazed so that once placed they do not accept stain.
